Make 12 Lone Star blocks using all of the fabrics in the green, purple and gold colorway. Then set them with 6 more stars on darker backgrounds. This quilt just glows!!!    Bordered in the peacock print. Kits include the pattern and fabrics to make the 80” x 100” top.

If you enjoy handwork, you will love to appliqué and become an “AA” (applique addict). Using the needle turn technique, it’s easier than it seems.

Have you always wanted to make a quilt, but didn’t know where to start? Come learn all the basics, from rotary cutting to piecing borders while making your first quilt top.

So you have a quilt top--now what quilting do you do? If you have taken Start Quilting I or made at least one quilt top and would like to know how to finish it--this is the class for you. You’ll learn to baste the quilt, sew basic straight line machine quilting, and binding.

This is a jelly roll quilt perfect for any jelly roll you’ve collected and don’t know what to do with. You will be working with triangles and exposed bias edges.

If you're short on time, but want to make a great landscape, this technique is for you. These “layer curve” small landscapes are so fun and easy to make and embellish. Trust me--you can’t make just one!

Using quick piecing methods for triangles and the use of light, medium and dark values, you’ll be able to make this stunning quilt in no time. Hints given so you don’t cut off those points!

This class will explore Margaret Miller’s book “Angle Play Blocks” . Learn to precisely piece half-rectangle triangles to make stunning blocks and quilts with pizzazz. We will also explore design concepts as the quilts evolve and merge.

This intricate and “artsy” quilt will inspire the beginner as well as advanced quilter. It uses the flip and sew method where accurate seams and matching seams are not a requirement!

Never enough uninterrupted quilting time? Join us on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month from noon to midnight for friendship, fun and food—and of course quilting. Just $5 reserves your spot. Dinner is pot-luck. You will get lots done and have a good time!

Art Quilt Challenge Group—Develop your creativity—join with other quilters in a monthly challenge to create a small art quilt using a challenge theme. We’ll show and tell each month and get the next challenge. If you like “Project Runway”, you’ll love this! 2nd. Class Policies:

  • Classes to be paid in full at registration.
  • Student Cancellation requires 1 week notice for store credit only. If we cancel a class, you will receive a refund in the form that you paid.
  • Classes without a minimum of 3 students are subject to cancellation. Students will be given a full refund.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before class and turn off cell phones.
  • Please have all required materials purchased prior to class beginning.
  • Machine classes require a basic knowledge of your machine and basic rotary cutting skills unless otherwise noted.
  • 15% discount given on class supplies purchased at TQS. 
  • Parking Permits
    Just a reminder that parking in the back lot as well as on the street is 2 hrs.
    For all day classes we will be happy to get parking permits for you if you pay the $5 in cash at least 2 days before each class.

Scrap Bags

You can never have too many scraps—well, maybe we do!  We now have scrap bags available for  $5 a bag. They will be filled with scraps large and small—perfect for appliqué, string piecing or whatever your heart desires.

Scrappy Hour  is every Fri. and Sat. from 4-6pm when scrap bags will be half price!
